Scrub Practitioner (Major Orthopaedics & General Surgery)

Pertemps Medical Professionals are currently recruiting for an experienced Scrub Practitioner to join a prestigious Private Hospital in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled Theatre professionals seeking a long-term placement with an immediate start.

The successful candidate will be required to support both Orthopaedic and General Surgery theatres, working approximately 3 to 4 shifts per week.

Assignment Details

• Location: Edinburgh
• Setting: Private Hospital
• Specialty: Orthopaedic & General Surgery Scrub
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Saturday, 19 December 2026 (Likely to Extend)
• Shift Pattern: 3 to 4 shifts per week

Job Role Requirements

• You must have the Right to Work in the UK
• Minimum 6 months Theatre experience within Orthopaedic and/or General Surgery settings
• Valid NMC or HCPC Registration
• Previous experience working as a Scrub Practitioner
• Must be available for the full duration of the assignment
• Must hold a valid PVG certificate or be willing to apply for a new PVG
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively within a busy multidisciplinary theatre environment

Rates (PAYE Only)

• Days: £36.65 Per Hour
• Nights/Weekends: £38.89 Per Hour
• Bank Holidays: £41.13 Per Hour

• Rates are strictly PAYE only
• Alternative payment methods will not be considered

• Candidates without a valid PVG must be willing to apply for one immediately
